Job Function:

The goal of this position is to provide territorial customer service for Europe and provide administrative duties as well as European sales rep liaison services. The Sr. European Customer Service Specialist will work closely with the Customer Service Manager and the European Sales Manager on all aspects of Sales Order logistics with a focus on procedure improvement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the European Sales Manager to execute sales plans and provide ongoing reporting and support for each territory in Europe
  • Work with JDE, Partner site data and any other business intelligence systems and programs to extract all relevant sales data for analysis and sharing with management and sales force
  • Provide support to the European PR agency
  • Oversee the planning and execution of Sales rep samples
  • Handle and maintain special sales and/or marketing programs (i.e. Ad coop programs, event coop programs)
  • Coordinate efforts with the customer service team to provide superior service to all European accounts
  • Work to ensure that field sales organization has clear understanding of corporate objectives and their individual performance expectations. Help provide the necessary tools and maintain consistent, timely flow of relevant information to keep field sales personnel at a high level of preparedness for business at all times.
  • Review & verify European sales representative commissions prior to final sign off by sales management
  • Overview and execute various German translation needs
  • Maintain European commission structures and changes.
  • Ensure that appropriate communication occurs with new outside sales representatives
  • Ensure appropriate protocol and communication occurs relative to terminations and resignations of sales reps and agents.
  • Ensure that European Sales Rep information in any/all databases is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensuring the Sales Representative Map is updated and communicated both internally and externally.
  • Frequently update the JDE Rep Code Excel List.
  • Provide support in the preparation of the Annual Sales Conference.
  • Act as a Liaison between inside sales and production to ensure accurate information is available for the sales team.
  • Serve as first point of escalation for European market in all business matters pertaining to transactional business.
  • Team lead w/training, mentoring & coaching duties
  • Orientation of new European Sales Specialists


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Keen attention to detail and interest in customer service and sales
  • Excellent written and verbal language skills both in English and German
  • Ability to work well with numbers, spreadsheets
  • Willing to work extra hours as/when required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must
  • Excellent and professional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of the workforce
  • Ability to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and fast-changing environment
  • Proven performer in goal orientated sales environment
  • Team player that embraces company direction
  • Avail to travel to Europe


Physical Demands:

The person in this position will be required to work in a fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions and with the need to deal with a great diversity of people. Work hours are generally standard with some flexibility and shift changes as may be required to respond to changing business needs. Regular attendance is required.
