Job Function:

The Production Planner inputs, reviews and maintains both Domestic and Offshore Supply Orders. This position entails collaboration with multiple departments including but not limited to: purchasing; forecasting; sales/customer service; production, and warehouse.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input all work orders, transfer orders and purchase orders
  • Maintain various supplier, product and  production information within J.D. Edwards
  • Liaison between the customer service, forecasting, purchasing and production teams
  • Identify and communicate any demand/supply imbalances in the mix
  • Other responsibilities as may be required or assigned from time to time based on changing and evolving business needs

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Knowledgeable with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); JD Edwards experience an asset
    • Assets will include, prior experience in the garment industry / production experience in a manufacturing environment 
    • Good problem solver and aptitude for math; natural analytical abilities
    • Detail oriented and deadline driven are musts
    • Ability to focus
    • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills; good planning skills
    • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are a must
    • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, and often ambiguous/fast-changing environment
    • Positive and energetic attitude
    • Must posses a valid permit to work in Canada

    Physical Demands:

    The person in this position will be required to work in fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions and with the need to deal with a great diversity of people. Work hours are standard with some weekend work as needed. Regular attendance is required.
